A few years ago, I got the chance to see my super amazing sister-in-law Aimee graduate with her PhD in social work from Columbia University in NY. I also got to meet her very close friend Maura McGurk, a very talented artist whose "current body of work deals with equality and issues related to gay rights." I love, admire, and support all of her work. See more about her here.

"Kinda Sketchy" drawing night.
Drawing is always better when you have a supportive group to do it with, and when you have posters hanging on the door telling people where to go that say "Kinda Sketchy downstairs."

Kinda Sketchy.
(Poster by: Kyle Johnson and Kate Bailey).

One of my contributions of the night, a car from memory.

Our first installment of "Kinda Sketchy," a weekly drawing night at the Free Time Studio space, was a success!
If you are seeing this on my blog right now and are interested in joining us because you like to draw and/or want
to hang-out because you're our friend, please do! This is an open invite. Bring snacks, drinks, friends, pens,
music or whatever else.
