Back to School!

This week is my official “good-bye to summer,” as I start my second (and final year) of school for graphic design. On one hand, I'm a little sad knowing it will be the last year I go to school (likely in this capacity), but on the other hand, I'm really excited and optimistic and feel really good about the pending accomplishment. I've heard from many past graduates that this will be the most challenging/intensely busy year, which means I'll probably be blogging less, but not to worry, I should have plenty of new school projects to share. So, for now, here is my essential school supply list of things I already have and some (mostly) new wish-list items.

32, for the number of teeth a "normal" human being has before the wisdom teeth are extracted. The design is for stacked display and is clean, minimal, modern.

Whittier Elementary School Posters.

Here are some posters I made for an elementary school arts festival. The theme was "we heart (symbol) art."

the "Weekly Volcano" is Tacoma's "Stranger."

I actually sketched 32 photos, this took some time.




For our drawing class, we had to make three illustrations for the Volcano, one for the cover and two for the inside. Whoever has the best drawing wins and gets their illustrations published. The article is about 32 gang members and unfair judge rulings, here are my three illustrations.
