As you know, I love thrift store shopping, finding things is an on-going feature in my blog/life. So, what have I found lately? 1). A too-good-to-pass-up striped jacket with red lining that fits perfectly. This is kind of cheating, because I didn't really find it at a thrift store, but at an antique mall, never the less, isn't it a great find? I love it! 2). A super solid 90's looking blazer with short sleeves that also fits great. I cut the shoulder pads out, washed it, and sewed a different button onto it. 3). Some patterned slacks, I think they're pretty dynamite. Overall, I'm pleased with the finds, it's always challenging finding a good blazer.

Thrift Shop.
Remember these glasses I found while thrift-store shopping in Tri-Cities?
Well, a month later I found these wine glasses to go with them at a different T.S., unfortunately there were only three,
but I bought them anyway.
Then! Yesterday! While Andrew and I were looking for halloween costumes at Goodwill, I found these matching low-ball glasses to complete my set! How crazy is that? Three completely separate visits to the thrift store to find a complete set of vintage glasses! I guess you could say I'm pretty excited about the finds.

Thrift Shop.
I went to the Tri-cities this last weekend and was lucky enough to be in a car full of others who like to thrift-store shop like me. Goodwill was the first destination where I scored these great glasses for 75 cents each.
Afterwards we hit-up about 4 antique stores in the same strip-mall where we all kinda over-did-it, but found tons of great stuff. I found this lovely bathing suit and really cheap buttons for $1/bag (replacing perfectly fine buttons with older ones is totally fine).

Thrift Shop.
Today, I introduce my new category of something I probably enjoy doing more than anything (drum roll), thrift store shopping!
When perusing thrift stores, I no longer buy the first thing that's vintage or funny, I actually practice a lot of self-discipline and only get the things that are truly "a find" or something I cannot live without.
What could I not live without this weekend?
1. Wool, J.Crew Peacoat ($10) that fits perfectly and has white buttons. After I lost my favorite fitting red peacoat last year, I haven't been quite the same, but this makes up for it and then some. Yes!!!

2. Antique Windows (free)!! These were lying on the side of the road as scraps and because Andrew and I have one already that we love dearly, we decided to get them all, why not? They are antique windows with frames --some with panes. Many of them have antique latches and handles. Sure to make for some interesting projects. I can't believe someone would want to get rid of these!!!

3. Coffee canister ($1.99)!!! Oh I love canisters with typography on them. I have two already (I'll post them as well), one that says "beans" and another that says "flour," this will be the perfect addition to my collection.
