Scarves and Fall.
One of my favorite ideas of what I think I like to do when it gets cold out, is knit myself a scarf. It makes me
feel productive when sitting down to watch a movie, and not only is it cheaper than going out and buying one,
but it's customizable to your liking. So, after getting very inspired by looking at
Yokoo Scarves and Accessories, I am going to try and make myself a "cowl (featured below)."
I picked up the yarn already and started on my cowl last Friday, we'll see how close I can get it!
Oh! And I picked gray because it was the coziest color they had.

Bathroom Make-over.
BEFORE.
Our bathroom was this really awful creamy yellow and had a horrible black cabinet that took up a lot of space.
AFTER.
We removed the cabinet and replaced it with a full-length mirror, replaced the vanity and shower rod
and painted the walls a sagey green.
Removing the cabinet meant that we had to find alternative storage solutions, so we decided to use this
metal rack and put our toiletries in jars and containers that we thought complimented the rest of the bathroom.
Wooden basket (completely carved out of one piece of wood), for toilet paper.
Vanity and antique French soap dish.
Chrome Shower rod. This is still our old shower curtain, still on the hunt for something that will compliment the walls.

Andrew grilled this salmon with a really good ginger marinade on it and also made our last stir-fry for awhile
(we don't want to get burned out on them), and it was all very delicious!
Georgetown Party with lots of great food, music and people.
In his hands, a Key-Lime Pie and a macadamia nut caramel tart, I had both! They were mind-blowingly tasty.
I really liked that people were eating soup at a party, you don't usually see that.
"Lonesome shack" played, and I really liked them.
Super hot stove fire-pit.
Free Time Industries at the Seattle Art Museum!
This weekend ended up being primarily a "family weekend," which was very nice and Sunday we went to Ikea to pick-up a new full-size mirror that I've been wanting to put in our new bathroom, Andrew doesn't believe me when I tell him we have a "skinny mirror," but it's true, they exist and I don't like them. Afterwards was followed by a happy hour and the emmy's at home with Lucas -Good weekend.

Long Hair Please.
I've suffered from "I need short hair" syndrome since my teenage years, but am now finally succeeding at growing
it back out, like it used to be when it went down to almost my hips. So, whenever I feel a little weak and get sick of
blow-drying it, I turn to photos like these to help me through the process, especially the ones where I look like a
little boy. The biggest trick however, is looking at the final product of other people with long hair, I think that helps
the most. Does anyone else have these troubles?

Chicago!
We are going to Chicago in less than two weeks, are there any must-sees that I should know about or restaurants that I should eat at? This will be my first trip there and we will be staying with local chicago-nians, so I'm sure we'll be in good hands, just want to be open to any suggestions or advice one might have for a first-timer like me.
